Equine MRI of Wellington, LLC, d/b/a “Advanced Equine Imaging of Wellington” is an equine imaging referral center located in Loxahatchee, Florida. During the winter months it becomes one of the busiest standing MRI centers in the country, as horses and vets from all over North America travel to the Winter Equestrian Festival. 

The imaging center is looking for an individual to assist with handling and preparing horses for the standing MRI. Candidate must have a demonstrated history of handling & jogging horses of all types, including maneuvering sedated horses.  Must be able to stand for several hours maintaining the horse’s position while being attentive to changes in the patient’s disposition. Candidate must also demonstrate common sense and quick thinking which may be required in an emergency situation. 

Regular work hours are 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday with some flexibility contingent upon procedure scheduling. Compensation is $12-$14/hr based on experience and employee also receives discounted veterinary services and products.

Equine MRI of Wellington, LLC, is owned and operated by B.W. Furlong & Associates, an equine veterinary practice headquartered in Oldwick, NJ. The practice employs 20 veterinarians; several of which relocate to Florida in the winter season. It is an extremely fast-paced and busy practice, serving and caring for some of the most prestigious clientele in the country.
